Née en 1949 à Paris, elle expose son travail depuis 1984 en France et à l’étranger. Elle vit et travaille dans l’Oise. Son travail est particulièrement épuré et stylisé et les scènes de vie sont souvent suggérées à l’essentiel. Peintre et sculpteur, elle s’engage dans les deux expressions avec une vraie fascination pour la matière.
Ses sculptures créées en terre, sont parfois éditées en bronze, et font toujours références à des scènes de vie. Elle y associe aussi le bois. B.G.
Born in 1949 in Paris, she exhibits her work in France and abroad since 1984. Currently, she lives and works in the Oise county. Her paintings are very uncluttered and stylized, and scenes of life are often suggested to the main thing. Painter and sculptor, she is devoted in both roles with a true fascination for the materials.
Seeking peace and serenity, she wishes to highlight a profound humanity every day. It all depends on the intention. She wants to enhance the sense of sharing, the mutual assistance and the union within an everyday life fighting. Her canvas are slowly shaped with successive layers, carefully superimposed and sanded.
The tints reappear by transparency and give illusions of depth in order to welcome some subjects in the foreground, that are drawn with the help of a knife, and a well-controlled gesture. Her sculptures, always referring to some scenes of life, are made of terra cotta and some of them are also made of bronze. B.G.
